You will live days of many emotions, after eating the nutritious buffets, you will get ready for a long walk along the National Reserve of Tambo pata, which will lead you to the Sandoval Lake. Here you will understand why Madre de Dios is known as the biodiversity capital of Peru. You will know the conservation works of the Reserve and the formation of the lake, sailing in canoe through this water mirror, home of the giant otter in danger of extinction, the blue and yellow macaw, the howler monkey, the black alligator, and one of the largest freshwater fish in the world, the Paiche. Also this program allows us to make night walks the mother river and god if we have time to visit the native family.
Day 01: Check in / Walking in the rainforest
The journey begins when you arrive in Puerto Maldonado and you are transferred to board the boat along the Madre de Dios River to Ecolucerna Lodge (approximately 1 ½ hours downstream).
Upon arrival you will enjoy a tasty lunch made with organic ingredients and
native flavors. After lunch you will take a walk through the Lucerna trails. In these natural trails, located within the property you will discover and learn about the primary and secondary forest, its components, uses, transformations made by man, and its relevance to the world.
At the end, you will enjoy a dinner in the “HUNGRY CAYMAN” dining room.
Day 02: Expedition to Sandoval Lake & Night Safari on the river
Today you will live a day of many emotions, after taking a nutritious breakfast buffet, you will get ready for a long walk along the Tambopata National Reserve, which will take you to Lake Sandoval. Here you will understand
why Madre de Dios is known as the biodiversity capital of Peru. You will know the conservation works of the Reserve and the formation of the lake, sailing in canoe through this water mirror, home of the giant otters who are in danger
of extinction, the blue and yellow macaw, and one of the sweetwater fish & largest in the world “the Paiche”. By the right time we will enjoy a delicious & traditional lunch in the middle of Sandoval lake with an amazing view, also
here you can have a nap in the hamaks provided in the zone. After we comeback in the lodge, there will be enough time to rest and later you will navigate the Madre de Dios River, to know its ecosystem, amazonian
streams, the behavior of nocturnal fauna, find some black/white caiman or more.
Returning to the Lodge you will enjoy a restorative traditional dinner at dining
Day 03: Jungle Sunrise / Check out to Puerto Maldonado / Airport
Enjoy a last nutritious breakfast with organic ingredients from our pantry before leaving. You will travel by canoe with an outboard motor back to Puerto Maldonado. According to your flight departure time, you can relax and quietly wait for your flight home or to your next destination.
In case you have a free day and wait for your bus time, you can explore the city on your own and our executives at the officewill assist you.

OPTIONAL: Visit the organic farm project, here you will know our social job with local population to collaborate and teaching them how to use the lands in better way and avoid cutting down forests.
